Due to COVID, the clothing closet is closed. There are families at Rieke in need of clothing donations. We are looking for someone to work with the Rieke Counselors to get donated clothes for those in need.

About the PPS Clothing Closet

Since 1964, the sole purpose of the PTA Clothing Closet has been to furnish age appropriate clothing that fits the children who come to us requesting these services.

By caring for the basic needs of our youth and allowing them to dress as their peers, we are encouraging positive self-esteem, academic success and regular class attendance. We follow the Objects of the National PTA by promoting and advocating for the welfare of our children.

AlI Portland Public School children that do not have access to age appropriate clothing are eligible to be referred to the PTA Clothing Center.

The Portland Council PTA Clothing Center is a committee of Portland Council PTA. It shares the same non-profit status and is staffed by volunteers from all schools within the district. Each school is responsible for a portion of the volunteer time needed to keep the center running successfully.
